I saw a program on PBS the other day and a group of explorers (I wanna say South American) visited some Mountain range (andes?) on a biology expedition to discover new plants. The mountains were above the cloud range and very very windy. The group discovered a toad that climbed a hill and rolled down it instead of jumping to evade a tarantula and also found carnivorous plant. The plant looked like flower, on the Ground with spotted petals. The petals had beads of nectar on them that attracted insects. When the insect landed on the petal, the plant curled it's petal into the center of the flower, into its mouth. I wanted to Research it for a biology project, but I cant recal the name of the plant. Can anyone help identify it? Or any carnivorous plants on that mountain?
